Language Apple Swift Program Ported to Android

In Modocache repository on GitHub first version of Apple Swift programming language has become available, which allows you to compile applications for the Android operating system. So far this is only the first version of the tool with a high level of instability, but the beginning has already been made.

Language Apple Swift Program Ported to Android

Swift project has been submitted to Apple developers team at WWDC 2014. It was then that there was a qualitative leap forward, the company showed its project, on which worked for five years - a whole new programming language. Apple has tried to create a language that would be spared the cumbersome heritage Objective-C. Swift was founded in NeXt platform, which became the basis for OS X, along later and iOS. Developers can see in real time the results of its programming. Ability to create the Swift-application for the Android operating system, which is the most popular mobile OS in the world, opens up great opportunities for the development of cross-platform software in the first place - for the porting of iOS-applications on the Google platform. So far, Swift version with the possibility of porting the software for Android is not even an alpha version.

In December last year, Apple Swift, we recall, was the open source programming language. Openness means that programmers can by examining the source code of a programming language, expand it through the issuance of additional tools for developers. In addition, we are likely to see Swift-applications for the operating systems of other manufacturers.
