Project Spark: Google is working on browser-IDE

A browser development environment was missing so far in Google's offer, while other companies or projects have been here longer on the market. Here mention only Cloud9, Orion Eclipse, IBM's Maquetta, Adobe brackets or more recently with the Microsoft Visual Studio integrated online Monaco Editor. Now Google has on the project Spark pointed out, under which is currently being built up integrated into the browser programming environment.

Once even integrated into Google's Chrome browser to Spark should be use for the development of Chrome apps. Developers are therefore in the development of apps for the Chromium OS not to a different operating system dependent and can, so to speak "native" develop in your browser.

In the development of Spark Google's JavaScript-competitor was used. The programming language is only last week in version 1.0 appeared, which means at Google that they now should be suitable for productive operation. With Dart written Web applications can be translated on the dart2js by JavaScript. This suggests that Spark could not be based only on derived from Chromium browser Dartium, but probably can be integrated into any modern web browser.
