How to set privacy on Facebook account?

How to set privacy on Facebook account?

Facebook is the most famous and most popular social network, with more than 1 billion people around the world. Its policy is often controversial privacy, especially because the default privacy setting is very loose and forgiving. The user can control general settings (newspapers, identification, pub and lock ) Confidential personal information, buddy lists, publications etc.

Settings and privacy tools

Can be obtained from the drop down menu by clicking on the Facebook icon in the tool bar or directly set the privacy settings on the padlock. Will display a screen with the following three parts: who can see my information? Who can contact me? Who can find me in searches?

Who can see my information?

This is to define who can see my future publications and people can see my current publication. Under normal circumstances, we will either:

- "Public": everybody can see;

-Only you "friends", friends can see;

-"Custom" by clicking on "custom", a pop-up window will open. We can define who will see our publications, allowing everyone, except for the x,y.. to do this.

Who can contact me?

This is to determine who can add us as a friend, send email, and can be found in our configuration file via email address. Proposed option is the "owner" (the default) or "friends, and their friends". We can also filter and filter between strict filtering messages.

Who can find us search?

This is in order to give the agreement on whether or not to allow search engines such as Google will be included in our public pages, Facebook.For example, if a person on Google, type name, it may fall on the person's public Facebook page. If desired, you can disable this option.

Right column, other privacy set to "magazine and identification" and "lock" can be changed.

Magazines and identification

This submenu allows you to decide to publish it in the newspaper and see our friends, publications, and we can control how we decide our publications and our friends.

Block

This menu allows you to stop the newspaper's visibility or identify them. Alternatively you can prevent application, event, and so on. What's wrong with this? Do not hesitate to visit OpenClassrooms forums.
